Dr Trudy Matthews – Chinese Medicine

Trudy Matthews established Scarborough Traditional Acupuncture Clinic in 1991. The Principal practitioner, Trudy Matthews, began her career in healing in Sydney where she studied to become a Registered Nurse. She was drawn to other methods of healing through her own journey of healing and personal growth, and was fortunate to be living in Perth when Edith Cowan University created a Post Graduate course in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Trudy graduated from this course in 1991 after travelling to China to complete her internship at the Guanghou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Trudy is passionate and committed to her practice and after three decades is still humbled and inspired by the profound change and positive outcomes Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine creates for her clients.
Dr Inna Kellner – Chinese Medicine

Dr Inna Kellner is a Chinese Medicine Practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience, returning to practice following maternity leave. She is delighted to be welcoming patients at Scarborough Acupuncture and to be back supporting the local community.
Dr Inna graduated with first-class honours from RMIT University, completing a 5-year double degree in Chinese Medicine and Human Biology. She gained valuable clinical experience at Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.
She has since worked in busy clinics throughout Perth, supporting her patients to lead active, healthy lifestyles and assisting in the management of pain and injury.
Inna has a particular clinical interest in women’s health, including hormonal health, menstrual health, fertility support, pregnancy care, postpartum recovery, and menopause. Her approach is gentle, personalised, and focused on supporting each stage of a woman’s health journey.
In addition to women’s health, Inna supports patients with a range of health concerns, including musculoskeletal pain, stress and anxiety, digestive issues, sleep concerns, and sports-related injuries. She uses a combination of acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, and lifestyle advice tailored to individual needs.
Her background in the health and fitness industry, along with her experience as a yoga teacher, informs her practical and holistic approach to care.
Outside of practice, Inna enjoys spending time outdoors, watching the sunset with her daughter at Brighton Beach, dancing tango, and playing guitar.
Inna is registered with AHPRA and AACMA, holds a current First Aid certificate, and speaks English, Russian and Hebrew.
Dr Lisa Johnson – Chinese Medicine

Lisa Johnson is compassionate, experienced, and authentic she has been practising Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) since 2004. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she is deeply committed to supporting individuals through gentle, effective, and holistic healthcare.
Her practice focuses on improving general wellbeing and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Lisa’s journey into TCM began with her own search for healing. After facing personal health challenges, she explored natural approaches to regain balance and wellbeing. This experience sparked a lifelong passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine and a desire to help others experience the same.
Lisa completed her formal studies in TCM at the Perth Academy of Natural Therapies, gaining valuable clinical experience under the guidance of respected practitioners Ping Wang and Wade James. She continues to learn and evolve in her practice, combining traditional techniques with compassionate, person-centred care.
Lisa is a nationally registered and accredited practitioner, holding professional memberships with:

- Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA)
- Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Dr Giles Sadler – Chinese Medicine

Giles is a skilled, dedicated, and empathetic practitioner who restores your health with powerful natural medicine that awakens your innate ability to heal yourself. He is grateful to be able help people use this ability.
He learned this medicine through University training and clinical internship in a Chinese hospital, and refined his approach in 12 years of practice with the guidance of experienced mentors. This clinical practice has included many years of working with less advantaged people with difficult, chronic, and multi-factored health issues.
He has extensive clinical experience working with pain and musculo-skeletal conditions, especially those endured by active people, including working with the Cottesloe Rugby Club since he returned to Perth.
An awareness of the prevalence of digestive problems has made him devote himself to finding the best Chinese Medicine treatments and he has successfully applied them in clinic.
Many years working with a renowned Chinese Herbal Gynaecologist have given him the skills and knowledge to care for women’s health, and he has become proficient at using traditional therapies for respiratory conditions, and skin problems.
He is a northern suburbs boy who went to school in Carine and spent a lot of his youth at Scarborough Beach. It’s a unique circle that has brought him back here.
Away from the clinic he practises taichi, keeps fit, fixes bicycles, goes to art shows, reads and listens to music.
Dr Rebecca Morrison- Chinese Medicine

Rebecca is a registered Acupuncturist, Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Chinese Herbal Dispenser with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).
She graduated from RMIT University after completing a 5-year double degree in Chinese Medicine and Health Sciences. Rebecca also spent one year living in China learning Chinese, and whilst there completed a four-week internship in the Chinese Medicine department within Zhoupu Hospital in Shanghai. This experience gave her a greater appreciation of how both Chinese and Western medicine can work in synergy to achieve optimum health results.
Rebecca incorporates Acupuncture, Electro-acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Massage into her treatments to assist her patients towards their best health outcomes. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis, she treats from the root level and provides tailored treatments to meet individual needs. She enjoys assisting patients with a wide variety of conditions, with a special interest in acute and chronic pain, women’s health and fertility, poor sleep and energy, stress, anxiety and digestive issues.
She has been lucky to have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from renowned practitioners and mentors in Melbourne and Rosebud. Rebecca continues to build on her experience and has undertaken extra studies in musculoskeletal acupuncture, as well as women’s health and fertility. She has also completed a Certificate in Whole Body Massage from DMA and likes to incorporate these techniques into her treatments when required.
When Rebecca is not in the clinic, you will find her walking along the beach, playing golf, meditating or shopping at a local Farmers’ market.
